Summary: Scarpa's Denali is a four buckle boot with a lug sole that will give you stability when hiking up ridge lines, be comfortable when building snow caves or attending accidents, and solid when skiing couloir's or steep pitches with a sled towed behind you. An ideal choice for Ski Patrollers, guides, or anyone who lives and works in their boots.
|
The Denali remains a ski mountaineering stalwart,
accurately matching aggressive skiing with long approaches.
With many refinements over the years, it positions itself as
the designated driver. Give it the keys, and it will get you
home after getting vertically pounded. It's suitable for the
skier pushing big boards on steep terrain who wants Tornado-like
performance while keeping the realities of ground transport
in mind.
Known as the performance At boot of choice, this stiff four-buckle
boot features a Dual-Density cuff and power strap combo that
transfers power for aggressive skiing. A unique cuff release
lever allows a significant range of motion so hiking isn't a
drag and also allows variable forward-lean selection. Dual-Density
thermo-moldable liners are comfortable and warm for long days
on big routes. |

Backcountry magazine: "With its easy-hinging tour
mode cuff, the Denali tours more comfortably than most four-bucklers.
And, given that it's lightweight for its class, the Denali
is a good choice for bigger days with bigger skis."
