Summary - The Garmont Syner-G telemark
boot is a very solid, all around performer that can charge
downhill and tour uphill equally well. This is boot that
truly does it all.
The Syner-G is a very popular all around boot, designed to combine
downhill performance with touring comfort. This boot has a mid-height
cuff and a smooth, medium forward flex.By comparison, the Syner-G
is a little softer flexing than the Gara and T1, and a little
stiffer than the Veloce and T2.
When touring the Garmont Syner-G is comfortable and light
- especially with the g-fit liner. Three buckles and a power
strap provide enough support to turn the biggest skis, and
this boot feels very solid under foot on any type of snow.
If you can only buy one boot to do everything in and you've
got a medium to high volume foot - this may be your best bet.

The Syner-G is our most versatile, all-around telemark boot, one that tours without sacrificing beefy downhill control. Using our unique Triple Injection Technology, it provides a synergy of skiing performance and touring comfort. Sweet flex, no twist. Its mid-height cuff locks securely for downhill skiing, and can be unlocked to hinge freely for touring. |
Couloir: "The Garmont Syner-G came
into its own last year, satisfying just about everybody
who could fit their feet into them. For strong skiing and
comfortable climbing, these boots have an even flex and
perceptive feel. The Syner-G's medium cuff height usually
keeps it off the race course, but it's not really designed
for that."
Backcountry magazine: "The Syner-G is a testament to the concept that size matters less than motion, and with one of the smoothest flexing boots out there, one can hardly go wrong here. I'll admit these are shy on power when driving porker-sized planks, but for skis in the realm of reality (less than 90mm at the waist) the Syner-G has ample power to hold an edge at speed or in the steeps, and genuflect with precision without losing the passion in powder."
