Summary: The G3 Ticket has a unique asymmetric
sidecut that helps bring the uphill ski around a little quicker. One of the best telemark skis in hard snow and solid underfoot, this quick turning ski will edge when you need it most
- a fantastic ski area carver in all types of snow.
The Ticket carves quick, snappy turns on steeps, groomers, bumps,
and off-piste snow. Wide enough to float you, and lots of sidecut
to turn 'em. Best for the stronger, more aggressive skier with
a bigger boot. |
G3's Ticket, is the snappiest, most responsive
ski ever. With wicked grip for demanding conditions, it's secret
is a unique asymmetric sidecut. A tighter radius on the skis'
outside edges allows the uphill ski to edge more actively whether
you're making telemark or alpine turns. As a result, the ski
pulls you into each turn sooner for the best edge hold and smooth,
aggressive transitions. Not an exaggerated telemark-specific
design, the Ticket improves your turns whatever your style.
Wide and snappy for aggressive turns in the backcountry, yet
quite possibly one of the best resort skis developed in years.

Backcountry magazine: "Skis
well on groomed - like a cruiser...comfortable and predictable.
Cuts and busts up crud well."..."It's a fun, mid-speed
carving ski that likes to dodge, dart, and play."
Couloir magazine: "You can clip in to these skis, but don't even think about going asleep at the wheel with the Ticket. The asymmetrical sidecut (shorter radius on the outside edge, longer on the inside) mandates that , 'You 'vill turn, and you 'vill like it.' Lazy and sloppy skiers need not apply; this Ticket wants lots of forward pressure on your front foot for telemark turns and an aggressive forward lean in parallel mode. As long as you can find the narrow sweet spot, the conditions will cease to matter. On hardpack, especially the steep and icy variety, nothing holds an edge like the Ticket. As tester Eric O said, it's a demanding ski, but rewarding."
AT: "AT skiers were more likely to find the narrow sweet spot, since a locked heel helps to deliver the necessary pressure on the tips. 'Extreme edging, but can grab if you're not ready. A definite learning curve to this ski.' In this year's conditions, all though it was stable at speed with a good mix of light weight and performance."
Powder magazine: "G3 scores big again with the
ultra-snappy Ticket that's ideal at the resort."
Off-Piste: "The Ticket is made for consistent radius turns in consistent snow. Its medium to short radius bias will keep skiers with an on-piste bias happy. The ski initiates easily and likes to keep the turns coming. The asymmetrical sidecut allows you to have the float of a ski its length but enjoy a turn radius characteristic of a shorter ski."
