G3 Reverend Telemark / AT Ski: Product Review
What the TelemarkSki staff thinks... What the manufacturer's Marketing Dept. thinks... What independent testers think...
Summary: If big mountains are your church - trust the Reverend to take you there. The Reverend is a wide, stable and damp ski. It performs best in softer snow, but can carve turns even in icy conditions.

Like G3 says, the Reverend is "Smooth as a Cadillac." Strong big mountain skiers can feel confident to go fast and power through just about anything without breaking a sweat. Mount 'em tele or AT - best with a bigger boot.
Mounted for alpine touring or telemarking, the Reverend is a board with a higher calling.

With a robust 93mm waist line, the Reverend rides high in soft fluff while the skis' flex pattern and shape induces lively turn-to-turn performance, allowing for precise carving on firm snow - a quality not often found in other big boards. Smooth and stable, the Reverend delivers all levels of skiers confidently over most any snow conditions and terrain.

Skiing magazine(AT review):
"The Rev's wood core gives it a supple, cruisy feel. A mellow sidecut and a predictable flex suit it better for long arcs than short ones. Some found them a bit planky and unresponsive. A big sweet spot keeps you centered in variable snow."

Backcountry magazine:
"A big ski that is designed to arc in every way, the Reverend delivered a sound, measured sermon that didn't do much to inspire a congregation, and even made a few bigger, stronger testers beg for forgiveness."

Couloir magazine:
"A commanding preacher over G3's choir, the Reverend delivers a sturdy ride that best serves thick-legged freeheelers. From there, opinions split slightly, as on-the-ground, long-radius skiers knocked a point off otherwise strong performance due to a bouncy tip: 'Too soft in shovel, deflects at speed'...But don't be dissuaded from the sermon if you like an energetic style, as the rest of the testers sang out the Reverend's glory...."
AT: "With two heels down, the Reverend got two thumbs up. Our AT testers confirmed the Rev's positives without division. 'Predictable in crud, nice soft snow ski.' 'Good all-rounder'..."

Powder magazine:
"With its quickness and edge-hold on hardpack, and buttery smooth float in powder, its' no wonder the Reverend has garnered a cult following. As comfortable in the backcountry as it is on piste, the all-wood Rev will truly help you commune with the snow gods."
