Summary: G3 took their
dependable, trustworthy Expedition skins and made them better.
New
"hands" on the tip promise to hold any with or
style of ski shovel and eliminate skin fold-over for less
weight and drag. The tail attachement works the same, but
is welded instead of rivited, again for less weight and
drag. The already great climbing traction has been improved
with a new, more waterproof, plush.

The new Alpinist Skins have been engineered from tip to tail to be the best gliding, driest, most secure Climbing Skins available.
NEW Tip Connector. Low profile, pivoting hands fit any ski tip securely. Elimination of fold-over reduces skin weight and eliminates snow build up under the skin, improving skin retention.
NEW Fast gliding, synthetic plush for improved glide, awesome traction and dramatically lighter weight
NEW Laminated tail features the dependable G3 Tail connection system, only with less weight and drag
Advanced water proofing treatment keeps skins dry and prevents clumping in wet conditions and when moving through multiple alpine climate zones

They are more waterproof - thanks to an advanced waterproofing treatment - and with a redesigned, low drag plush, they glide better while maintaining traction for even steep skin tracks. More importantly, the patent pending tip and tail kit are completely new. The stretchy rubber tail is now welded (no rivets) between the plush and glue.
