| Summary: Dynafit redesigned the popular Comfort binding this year with the Vertical series. The new Dynafit Vertical ST features a longer toe lever for easy grab and lock into ski or tour mode, as well as a reinforced climbing post. The ST a considerably beefed up version of the Comfort without adding much extra weight. Brakes sold separately. |
Dynafit raises the bar this season with the launch of the Vertical Line. With a long toe lever for easy grab and lock (ski/tour mode) and an integrated (tough) 3rd climbing post/heal body, this takes the Comfort to a new level. Featuring a new 1/2 step on the heal body, you now can dial in your heel lift perfectly. As with any Dynafit Binding, the metal pins and metal
boot inserts remain unchanged and unbeatable. The
Vertical provides the same legendary durability,
tourability, torque and performance with minimal
weight gain due to it's added features.

Couloir magazine: "Dynafit still rules as the lightweight king, presenting shoppers with more model choices this season with the TLT Vertical, which has a more freeride-friendly look and small improvements. The TLT Vertical FT and ST are redesigns of the popular Dynafit Comfort, beefing up the heel and toe units for better durability, which is appealing to aggressive skiers still uneasy about Dynafit's minimalist look."
Skiing magazine: "Keeping with the light-is-right ethos, Dynafit introduces the new, '20 percent more durable' ST (Ski Tour). Our testers liked the integrated third climbing post, smoother ski-tour lock lever, and redesigned brakes. That, and Dynafit's tried-and-true frictionless pivot, make for the most ergonomic climbing binding on the market."
Backcountry magazine: "The Dynafits had a solid feel with excellent boot-ski connection. Uphill, these bindings fly. They were light and nimble with a good pivot-point. With the dynafit, the distance from ski to boot is lower than the rail bindings - perfect - I love being close to the ski for snow feel... [I] like the improvements of the longer toe-lever and easier-to-twist heelpiece. These bindings require patience with mode changes and are susceptible to occasional ice build-up,but the solid feel and climbing ability more than make up for the hassle factor."
