| Crispi XR Telemark Boot: Product
Review |

What independent testers think... |
Summary: The XR is Crispi's stiffest, most powerful offering to the tele market - it's actually one of the stiffest available and it's even stiffer for '07-'08. Consider yourself a racer, agro, or just super-aggressive? This is the boot for you!
A new overlap cuff this season, provides a better fit out of the box. Redesign of the bellows last season relieves the "bite" that Crispi's been know for.
“Having skied all of the tele boots on the market, this one is definitely my favorite. It is the most secure fit I have ever had in a tele boot.” – John W., TelemarkSki.com boot buyer

Three years ago, the XR marked Crispi's switch to a new bellows with a smoother, and stiffer feel. That new bellows design gets further refinement this year, with a carbon wrap in the flex zone that stiffens the flex by 17% for unparalleled lateral and longitudinal stiffness. thus, the XR remains the most powerful boot on the market. Also new for this year is a liner that is pre-lasted for a more obvious match with your foot out of the box, and an overlap cuff to accommodate a wider range of foot volumes. If you thought you had to have a 'Crispi' type foot to get the performance these boots offer, think again.

Skiing magazine:
"Crispi's stiffest four-buckle boot has enough mojo to drive fat skis, and testers were impressed with how comfortably the XR toured in walk mode. Minor complaints: They're a little too heavy for long tours, and the power strap is flimsy."
Powder Mag: "A very lightweight, stiff boot for skiers who demand performance, the X-R returns unchanged from last year. Everything - from its soft Pebax-injected Bi-Density shell to the carbon fiber instep wrap - was done to maximize strength-to-weight ratio. The four-buckle X-R also comes equipped with a thermomoldable liner and three incline adjustments, as well as a walk function."
Backcountry magazine: "...the only way I'm running this boot is in the gates. It's just too much boot for me. That said, I know several rippers who feel this is the only boot that can keep up with them. I find it ironic that Crispi chose to address bellow's stiffness this year on a boot that was previously plenty stiff. The most noticeable improvement in flex is consistency thereof in a wider range of temperatures. Still stiff, but never unbending on cold days. the liner is also a huge improvement over previous iterations from Crispi."
