Crispi Evo NTN Boot: Product Review
What the TelemarkSki staff thinks... What the manufacturer's Marketing Dept. thinks... What independent testers think...
We've found and fallen victim to the #1 flaw of the new NTN binding...it is designed for boot sizes 26.5-31 MONDO and none of our feet are that big! Sorry, we'll post personal reviews as soon as we get someone with big-ol-feet to help us out (hopefully early this fall)!

Feel free to share your feedback with us!
The Crispi Evo NTN Boot borrows several key innovations from Crispi's acclaimed SR, such as the heat moldable liner, and the use of carbon fiber that wraps around the instep and up to the ankle bilaterally for unbelievable power transfer and stability.

The Evo delivers a softer, smoother flex than the XR in response to the new NTN system, which allows for personalized flex adjustment in the binding.

Powder Mag: "The NTN is its own animal...the EVO - one of two boots compatible with the Rottefella NTN binding - is not quite AT, not quite telemark. The EVO, while not being Dynafit compatible, stands out as the NTN's stiff four-buckle option. The flex is more AT than tele, though, as the bellows are quite rigid - so if you've been a freaky pinhead for the last 15 years, it'll probably feel more like an alpine setup."

Backcountry magazine: "Frankly, I've always felt the Crispi XR was too much boot. Now, after skiing the Evo, I realize it was just too much boot for a conventional binding. But while the Evo shares the XR cuff, the bellows is much softer, making this a nice, even flexing brawn boot. It's taller and stiffer than the Scarpa NTN offering. And with the innate edging power of the NTN binding it easily out-performs any power-boot on the market. I also skied it in a Fritschi Freeride AT binding mounted on a G3 El Hombre and was floored by the sensitivity and control. This could be the one telemark/AT super-boot."
