| Summary: The four-buckle boot of choice
for the hard-charging AT skier with a wider foot. More
comfortable in tour mode than the Scarpa Hurricane and Garmont
Shaman, but with less down-hill performance as well. |
Unchanged from last season, the Freeride
features multiple forward lean positions, four buckles, high
cuff and power strap, and thermo formable liner. Made for
driving big sticks on both sides of the backcountry gate,
the Freeride's efficient walk mode makes it easy to venture
farther from the security of the lifts without compromising
downhill performance.

Backcountry
magazine: "Both of Crispi's AT boots are unchanged
from last season... While I think the Diablo Freeride skis
fairly well with its four-buckle design and relatively high
cuff, it doesn't really hold up well against other boots in
its class. The boot is very comfortable and tours really well,
but without Dynafit compatibility, it is going up against some
very stiff competition with the Endorphin and Tornado Pro." |
