A new wide women's ski
for '07-'08! Sister to the Kilowatt, the Joule also has a softer flex for lighter skiers. If last season's success of the Kilowatt is any indicator, the Joule is going to be a very strong choice for aggressive women. The Poplar core is tempered with foam to lighten the ski, but it retains it's torsional stiffness giving it a lot of stability in any snow conditions. Given that more than half of us have chosen to buy the Kilowatt, the Joule is sure to be an incredible performer this season.

A women's version of the Kilowatt with the same powerful torsional stiffness but with a slightly softer longitudinal flex.
Features:
Formula One Technology with integrated 3D dampening
CNC-machined wood core wrapped in torsion box construction
A versatile fat ski that is more predictable and gentle than the straighter and "surfier" cut of the Verdict
Lengths: 155,165,175cm |
Powder Magazine:"The same torsional stiffness as the KiloWatt, but with a slightly softer flex, the Joule is more predictable and gentler than its brother, the Verdict. The wider platform eases the transition from powder to crud to groomer, making the Joule one of the most versatile of women's skis."
Backcountry magazine: "This is the widest of BD's women's skis - it has the footprint of the Kilowatt and a name in keeping, but with a softer flex, though it comes in three of the same lengths. East and West, there were gender issues, as male testers tapped into the Joule. 'Super stable ski, a pleasure. Made every turn sparkle.' ...'Light weight, easy to ski but easily deflected. Girls' ski.' ...'fun and easy to turn.' 'Nice ski, easy turning - watch out for the back seat,' ...'Lively and stiff ...responds well to aggressive turns and drives a hard edge.'" |
