Summary - The Pumori is the women's
specific version of Atomic's Tacora. Sized right in between
the Kongur and the Saipal, this is a great all-mountain choice
for skiers who aren't always in soft snow.
If you tried the '04 TM:X and thought it was just
a little too wide and stiff for you, you'll probably love the
Pumori. It is more stable and will float better than last years
Femme Fatale, but still feels light and quick under-foot.
|
The Pumori is our newest all-mountain ski for women. It uses the same sidecut as the Tacora with a 113mm tip and 80mm waist. This has proven to be an excellent sidecut for easy turn initiation on a steep fall line and it provides secure edge hold in icey conditions. At the same time, it also does a great job of flotation in powder conditions. The Pumori has a women's specific flex that has been refined in the last two years. |
Couloir magazine: "Fatter
than the Saipal, but with a similarly designed female-specific
flex, the Pumori parted the crud like a fight in a crowded
bar. Its wide shovel deflected everything in their path, and
the sriff, smooth flex gravitated toward long, silky turns,
in all types of snow. A lightweight feel provided a damp response
without weighting testers down."
