Summary: The 7tm Power has become the releasable binding of choice for aggressive tele skiers using 3 or 4-buckle plastic boots and big skis. Quite active, the Power ensures excellent edge hold and instills confidence with its lateral DIN release of settings 4-11. Less aggressive skiers can remove the power pin for a more neutral feel, and opt to easily replace it if desired.
Brake, riser, and climbing bar are sold separately. |
New this year, the 7tm Power offers
unrivaled downhill performance in a releasable telemark binding.
The greater performance is a result of the removable Power
Pin, which moves the pivot point of the binding further under
the ball of the foot. The 7tm Power helps freeheel skiers
to more effectively weight their back foot, which is critical
for controlling the uphill ski and executing a strong telemark
turn. This is important for aggressive freeheel skiers and
new telemark skiers alike. The Power Pin is removable to give
skiers a choice of "Active" or "Neutral"
depending on snow conditions.
The 7tm Power also features a much wider tension strap
underfoot with wings for added support of the sole. This greatly
improves the lateral control and the torsional responsiveness
of the binding. The 7tm Power answers the consumer demand
for a more powerful releasable binding.
Features:

Backcountry magazine: "The 7tm
Power is a noticeable improvement over the original."..."The
7tm Power is a very light feeling binding, especially for
a releasable. For those who find many of the new big boots
and bindings too stiff and restricting, the Power may be
a safe, easy-to-use option."
Powder Magazine: "The days of being a dainty tele ballerina are over...the 7tm Power...in its second year, continues to embolden freeheelers. The juice is in a removable power pin, a concept that puts the pivot point further under the ball of your foot so you can weight your uphill ski more effectively. The pin can be removed to give you a choice of "active" or "neutral" skiing depending on you style or snow conditions. The only question mark on the Power is its heel throw, which is a bit difficult to handle when you're forced to clickin on dicey terrain."
