New for 2008, 22 Designs gives the HammerHead a sister - and she's a Bombshell! The unbeatable power-transfer and reliability of the HammerHead is now available in a smaller design and with softer springs to meet the needs of today's hard-charging women telemarkers.
Too tough for soft springs? The Stiffy kit works with the Bombshell too. |
The Hammerhead, and now
the ladies version, the Bombshell, continues to define
the ultimate in downhill power. It was the first binding
to deliver custom power with five pivot-point adjustments.
The further back you go, the more you feel the 5-inch compression
spring tucked under the oversized wraparound steel toe
plate. The heel block features a spring enhanced climbing
wire, and the cable is one size fits all.
• The First women's telemark binding with adjustable pivot points for the way YOU ski
• Same rugged construction as the HammerHead
• Smaller design to fit women's boots better
• Softer spring for snappier turns & lighter skis
• 2-year Warranty
• Weight: 3lbs |
Skiing magazine: "New this year, the sister to the HammerHead has the same features - five different pivot points to dial in touring, carving, or stomping with great lateral stability - but it also fits smaller boots and has a slightly softer spring for lighter skiers. Want still more binding to match your boots? Order the Stiffy Spring Kit"
Backcountry
magazine: "New for this year is the Bombshell
for women. It's a Hammerhead, but with a main spring that's
20% softer. Now that a choice of springs is available,
the power range can be fine tuned, which is the real beauty
of the Hammerhead. Designer of the Hammerhead, Russell
Rainey's original claim remains true; this binding can
help you ski better. Part of that is the adjustability,
and part is the fact that the tension in the cable, which
runs under the sole of your boot, helps create something
to actually press your foot against, unlike other bindings
where true ball of foot contact with the binding is only
a figment of your sensation." |
